New SEMiX rectifier modules – for a 35% flatter inverter design
Cable-free interconnection for DC bus bars on the same level.
The new SEMiX rectifier modules for up to 300A are now available in the same design as the new IGBT generation. Combining modules of identical design offers huge advantages with regard to frequency inverter design. Thanks to the identical case height, the DC link capacitors are connected on the same level, resulting in a 35% flatter design in comparison to conventional inverters and leading to less EMC radiation. The consequence is 50% less production time.
Nuremberg, June 7, 2005 The new modules, featuring a low case height of 17mm, screw connections and an interconnection on the same level between IGBT and input bridge rectifier, open up new opportunities for creating flat and compact frequency inverter designs. These features also reduce stray inductance and enables compact systems to be developed, thereby improving the technical performance of the application. SEMiX® rectifier modules in combination with SEMiX IGBT modules have been optimised especially for use in drives (AC/DC drives: 15kW -110 kW) and power supply systems.
SEMiX® input rectifier modules have SEMICELL, SEMIKRON glass-passivated thyristor and diode chips. All SEMiX input rectifiers are available in 2 topologies - “uncontrolled” (diode/diode) and “half-controlled“ (diode/thyristor) - for currents up to 300A and reverse voltages up to 1800V. They come in SEMiX 1 and SEMiX 2 cases, or as 3-phase bridge rectifiers in SEMiX 13 cases. The IGBT modules and input rectifiers are optimally adapted to one another in terms of power. All topologies are available in the flexible SEMiX housing with base plate and identical terminals. The new modules contain identical components to those used in other SEMiX products and are manufactured in proven production technologies, ensuring a high-quality product range.
