exit Command

exit command is used to exit user from its current shell .

When a user issues the exit command at shell prompt , it will exit him/her from it current login shell . If any jobs are running at background then the shell will remind you about these jobs and it will return you to prompt. If you issue exit command again , it will terminate your session ( shell )

1. Basic example -

Run the exit command as below and it will terminate your session .

There are few more commands which works same as exit - "bye", "logout", and "lo".
